4-H Spotlight Page 1 4-H Spotlight Page 2

Aiden Davis has officially punched his ticket to compete in the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships in archery, set to occur in Grand Island, Nebraska from June 22-27, 2025. Annually, the 4-H Shooting Sports program imparts essential knowledge on the safe and responsible use of firearms to nearly 500,000 young people. Competing in this event is a rare privilege, reserved for a select group of high-achieving individuals. Davis’s accomplishment holds particular significance, as he breaks new ground as the first Hyde County 4-H member to ever attain this distinction.

Davis is the son of Charles and Connie Davis and is currently a Senior at Davis Christian Academy. His introduction to the shooting sports world began at a young age when he was first able to hold a firearm. Raised in a family of hunters, he was promptly educated on the importance of proper safety protocols. Fast forward to 2022, a year marked by several “firsts” for Davis – he joined his first shooting sports team at Terra Ceia Christian School and handled a bow for the first time. The rest is history as he now prepares for the most significant tournament of his life.

Davis projects a professional demeanor while competing, but akin to numerous individuals in eastern North Carolina, he relishes his time on the water fishing for prized catches. When not savoring life’s more straightforward joys, he is honing his skills at work as diesel mechanic, with plans to establish a career in this field.

A young man of few words, possessing an exceptional work ethic, was notably enthusiastic when recalling his favorite memory, stating, Winning the NC 4-H State Shooting Sports Championship with a perfect score felt pretty good!” He has achieved a great deal in a short amount of time with the help of a strong support system consisting of his family, coaches, community members, and teammates.

Davis exhibits a steadfast commitment to excellence, consistently seeking to surpass even the most ambitious expectations. The phrase “I Can’t” is nonexistent when he sets his sights on his goals. His accomplishments are a testament to his tireless efforts, rather than a mere circumstance. Davis’s family and Hyde County 4-H proudly acknowledge his remarkable achievements thus far and eagerly await his participation in this unforgettable experience. Best of Luck, Aiden!!!
