The 2026 Hyde County 4-H Summer Fun Program is back and packed with awesome camps for youth of all ages and interests! Whether your child loves cooking, kayaking, crafting, science, or simply being outdoors—there’s something for everyone! Come join us and "learn by doing" this summer!

Hyde County 4-H Registration Guide
Registering for 4-H events is a two-part process: first, you enroll the member, and then you register for specific events.
Phase 1: Member Enrollment
- Access the Platform: Visit the 4-H Online.
- Choose a Club: Select Member at Large as your primary club.
- Select a Project: Choose Camping.
- Complete Consents: Fill out the required information and submit your enrollment.
- Await Approval: Your enrollment must be approved by the 4-H Agent before you can proceed to event registration.
Phase 2: Event Registration
- Log In: Return to your child's profile on 4-H Online.
- Navigate to Events: Select the Events tab, then select Register for a New Event.
- Select Program: Choose from the available events based on your child's age and follow the prompts to submit. Please keep in mind it will show events from all across our district and state. Only select Hyde County events listed below or view the Hyde County 4-H Summer Fun Flyer.

Payment is accepted via cash, check, or money order at the Hyde County Cooperative Extension Office.

Code, Build & Fly Week: 4-H Robotics & Drones
- Dates: June 2–4

- Details: Includes an introduction to robotics and coding with Lego kits and drone flight training.
Local Foods & Cooking Week: Culinary Classics (Tour of Italy)

Ready, Set, Respond Week: Project Rescue Rising
- Dates: July 28–29
- Time: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Ages: 11–18 years old
- Cost: $40
- Details: Training in CPR, First Aid, Search & Rescue, and emergency management.
Traditional Overnight 4-H Summer Camp 2026
Description: The ultimate 6-day overnight camp for youth to meet and connect with new friends from all over North Carolina. Activities include kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, rock climbing, ecology, crabbing, archery, swimming, arts and crafts, sports, games, and more!
When: June 14-19, 2026
Where:Eastern 4-H Center (100 N Clover Way, Columbia, NC)
Ages: 8-14 years old (Space Is Very Limited!)
Mandatory Steps For Attending 4-H Summer Camp:

- Read the Parent Information Letter.
- 4-H Camp Medication Form (All medicine must be in its original container with campers' name and dosage requirements)

Northeast District Activity Day 2026
Description: The NC 4-H Presentation Program is the perfect opportunity for youth to master one of the most essential life skills -- Public Speaking! Hyde County 4-H is here to help teach youth how to effectively communicate and present in their own unique way.

NC 4-H Congress 2026
Description: NC 4-H Congress is an annual educational event sponsored by North Carolina 4-H and planned by the State 4-H Council and Congress Advisory Committee. Youth will be engaged in transformative experiences such as workshops, guest speakers, and discussion groups that will help them develop leadership and social skills, civic engagement, community service, and much more!
When: July 20-July 24, 2026
Where: NC State University (Raleigh, NC)
Ages: 13-18 years old
Registration Opens: Tuesday, May 5, 2026 (via 4-H Online)
