Link Sausage + Smoking Meat Class

Join Hyde County's FCS Agent to learn how to operate a meat grinder and prepare goose (or other meat) for link sausage, then learn how to operate an electric smoker using goose link sausage prepared in a previous class this fall. This will be an in-person, hands-on class.


Registration is FREE thanks to a wonderful grant from ECU Health. If you have not already received a digital food thermometer, you will also receive one to help you cook food safely while at home.


Class will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, 10 a.m.–1 p.m., in the Teaching Kitchen within the government center building and finish OUTSIDE. Please be sure to dress accordingly/bring outwear if colder weather is predicted. Class size is limited to 12 participants.
