FCS Spring 2023 Classes

(Updated: Jan. 24, 2023, 6:01 a.m.)

Late winter/early spring 2023 classes are now scheduled! Family & Consumer Sciences will be hosting a 3-part series on family resource management as it relates to your food budget and how to create a well-balanced pantry. We will also be reviewing the basics of SNAP eligibility and how to apply, if needed. Based on class participation & interest, additional classes or one-on-one meetings may be later scheduled to focus on other specified topics, such as an overall household budget, reducing debt, and saving for known/intended expenses.

Classes are scheduled Feb. 16, Feb. 23, and Mar. 2 from 10am-11am at the Mattamuskeet Senior Center. They are FREE and open to the general public, thanks to a wonderful grant from ECU Health and resources from NC State's More In My Basket program. Pre-registration is not required. You do NOT need to attend all three classes. Each class may be attended individually, though it is recommended to attend #1 before either of the other two.
