Hyde County 4-H Advisory Council

The Hyde County 4-H Advisory Council is a strategic partner and advisory body—not a governing board—dedicated to expanding youth development opportunities. Operating in alignment with NC 4-H, we connect community leaders, volunteers, and youth to advocate for local needs and support Hyde County Cooperative Extension staff. If you are interested in becoming a 4-H Advisory Council member, please complete the 4-H Volunteer Interest Form.

Member Responsibilities

Council members serve a minimum two-year term and actively support our mission through the following commitments:

  • Quarterly Meetings: Attend four face-to-face meetings per year.
  • Monthly Communication: Stay engaged by replying to monthly email updates.
  • Volunteer Registration: Formally sign up as an official 4-H Volunteer.
  • Event Support: Attend and volunteer at local 4-H events whenever possible.
  • Program Advocacy: Occasionally assist by judging county/district competitions or providing testimonials about your 4-H experience.
