2016 Road Show Production Meetings & Private Pesticide “V” Trainings
The extension agents in Beaufort, Hyde, Tyrrell, & Washington Counties will be hosting the annual “Road Show” winter meeting series again this year. The agenda for each meeting will be the same and will cover current issues related to corn, soybean, and wheat production. All meetings are set to begin at 9:30 am and will conclude with lunch. (2 hours of X, N, O, D credits)
The meeting agenda will cover the following topics:
  • Corn and soybean production
  • Soil fertility
  • Weed control options
  • Stink bug and bill bug management
  • Soybean nutrition
  • Water quality and pesticide efficacy
  • Resistance management
All locations will also include a separate “V” training for anyone who needs to re-certify their private pesticide applicator licenses in 2016. V Training will take place after all of the Road Show meetings (1-3pm). If you intend to recertify, please make an effort to attend one of the following meetings to receive the credits you need. These will be the only meetings in the area to get V credits this year. Call your local extension office if you are unsure if you need to re-certify in 2016.
